Toronto based DJ/Producer Meati is hitting the ground running with a fresh sound and the technical chops to back it up. Seamlessly blurring the lines between techno, acid, electro, tropical and deep house, newcomer Meati is quite simply blowing the minds of house enthusiasts far and wide.
Meati got his start in the thick of the Toronto electronic scene, spinning his own ferocious after-hours. In a heartbeat he was playing alongside mega-acts M.A.N.D.Y. and Heidi as well as headlining shows at choice venues all over the city. A vehement perfectionist dedicated to his craft, Meati migrated to Brooklyn, NYC to study music production, focusing on Ableton and sound design.
Now back in his hometown Toronto, Meati has been diligently putting his honed skills to good use with copious gigs and all nighters in the studio. His recent, notably darker collaborations with fellow Toronto based artist Meech has already been met with overwhelmingly positive reviews from the likes of Act Yo Age, Kill the Noise, Dubbel Dutch & Milt Mortez to name a few. There’s no denying once you sink your teeth into Meati, you’ll be asking for seconds and thirds.
